Part 3 location: then and now.

A lot of people may already know that Friday The 13th: Part III was shot at a movie ranch, the Veluzat Movie Ranch in Newhall, California. It was the first to be shot in California, and the first of three in a row. The other parts of Part III were shot in the local area, and I am not sure if anyone has ever found where the Crystal Lake Cafe was shot- if they have, send me pictures!

Here are 2 photos of the cabin and the barn from the Veluzat Movie Ranch. Unfortunatly the cabin was burned to the ground and no longer exists. I think BongTokingChuckles from the olf Friday The 13th board took these.

As you can see, the cabin still looked pretty similar other than a white bannister and white trim. This cabin was specifically built on the ranch for Friday The 13th Part III and it's a shame it burned down.

Here is the barn, this still exists and even though it's over 25 years older, it still looks the same.

Here are 2 videos of the locations at the Veluzat Movie Ranch shot recently. It's pretty depressing to see the charred ruins of what was the cabin.
