These are from My New Laid Plans blog, make sure you go there and check out the Tom McBride memorial retrospective. He's definitely one of the more memorable Friday the 13th characters, but also seems to be the most forgotten as he passed away nearly 20 years ago. Make sure you read this post I made a month or so back about Tom's final movie Life and Death on the A List.
Yeah even goin' back to the old Friday the 13th films.com boards where I wa a guest sometimes I wanted to see that documentary. He was in one of my top five more memorable early F13th franchise victims of all time. I also believe he lead a fairly interesting life as well.
ReplyDeleteI might get that documentary via Amazon.com soon.
I'll also check ou that blog post, too.
Great posts here! I love that the header of this blog only has links for parts 1-8. Damn straight!! Keep up the good work to whoever runs this joint!
ReplyDeleteMe too, Dusk. Me too. The Paraount era are really the only ones wel worth watching. Its hard for me now to really sit through a New Line Cinema distributed era Jason slasher/bore fest, myself. Except for an occasionally bright spot like the tent spike kill in Jason GOes to Shit or the smokin' tom boy hotness of Lisa Ryder in the uber-shit sandwhich that was Jason X, few things good that I have to say about'em are VERY few & far between. :(
ReplyDeleteI can't even blame Hollywood. The only problem modern movies have when judged against the greats of yesteryear is that the filmmakers don't have access to a hot tub time machine. That's a pretty big problem. The past is the past, the present and future are always changing. We can never go home again, blah blah... LOOK TOM MCBRIDE! :)
ReplyDeleteI like you post. :) Very true my good man. :)
