Robin's Uncut Death in Part V

Here's a snippet from Robin's uncut death in Friday the 13th: Part V, A New Beginning. Most of the uncut photos that have surfaced never included the blood spurts.

I still say that A New Beginning suffered the most catastrophic gutting by the MPAA. It is a fact that more footage was removed from this movie than The New Blood.

Part III Original Script Revisited

Andy, Debbie and Chris entering the cabin while Jason hides inside
This is one of my favorite scenes of the original Part III shooting script-- though either cut from the film or never filmed-- it would have added a lot to the movie, I think. It puts Jason inside of the main cabin watching Shelly's activities after Chris and Rick realize someone has been sleeping in one of the rooms. Jason being inside of the cabin obviously pushes the fact that it was indeed Jason sleeping in the bed.

Friday the 13th Legend: Part III Alternate Ending

from: Crystal Lake Memories
The alternate ending to Friday the 13th: Part III seems to be one of the more talked about lost scenes in the franchise. Here are excerpts from the Friday the 13th: Part III novel by Michael Avalone, a book written before the movie was finished based on the original shooting script. They are from Pages 186 - 200, taking up after the scene where Chris puts an axe into Jason's head.

Some Part IV Deluxe Edition extra screen grabs.

I was watching the extras again today and for some reason Axel's death outtakes stuck out to me. It looked like Bruce Mahler and Ted White were having fun with this scene. I took some screen grabs and here they are.

DVD stills of the week: Jason Takes Manhattan Deluxe Edition

For those who did not get the Friday The 13th Part VIII: Jason Takes Manhattan Deluxe Editions, here are some screen captures from the extras. The special features included a "making of..." documentary as well as cut scenes and a gag reel.

Behind the scenes photos of the week

There's so many behind the scenes photos for Friday The 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter, thanks to the Deluxe Editions. Here's a few with Crispin Glover and Ted White makes a cameo in one.

Behind the scenes photo of the week.

Ted White gives Jason Voorhees' death a thumbs up on the set of Friday The 13th Part IV: The Final Chapter. Jason's gruesome death was never seen to it's gory glory until the Deluxe Edition came out a handful of months ago. Even still, you could not enjoy it fully until you (or someone else) edited it all back together. Here are some behind the scenes photos of that death!

Crash discusses his part in the DVD extras:

Head on over to Crash Army to read about what Crash did for the upcoming DVD releases. Trust me, he has some really good news on things that he designed for a few extras. I'm very proud to say that Crash has made a handful of hockey masks for me and is one of the more creative makers out there. I think Daniel Farrands made a good choice with using him for the art/creative team for the discs.

We spent nearly four months working on the production of the supplemental material that is spread out over the Final Chapter, A New Beginning and Jason Lives deluxe editions. The majority of my involvement is within a 3-part feature called Crystal Lake Massacres Revisited where I designed everything from newspaper clippings to x-rays and more.

Unmasked Jason concept art from the upcoming DVD.

I think this photo is creepy as hell, and it's too bad the finished Jason did not look more like the photo. This can be seen on this small advertising featurette for the upcoming DVD below.

New photos of young Jason from the uncut DVD.

Looks pretty freaking creepy if you ask me. Definitely not the best young Jason look, but he looks like a Primordial Dwarf in a way. I dunno, just creeps me out.

Troma to release never before seen Director's Cut of "Combat Shock"!

For fans of Combat Shock, this is a really awesome surprise. Combat Shock has the feel of a VanBebber film with some imagery of Richard Kern's early short films with the devastating atmosphere of movies like Full-Metal Jacket and Jacob's Ladder.

This baby is loaded with never before seen extras like:
  • American Nightmares (100 min): Never Before Seen Director's Cut
  • 90 minute "Troma Cut" with commentary tracks
  • 40 minute making of featurette
  • Interview with director Buddy Giovinazzo

And a lot more!

My Bloody Valentine finally to be released UNCUT!

After nearly 30 years My Bloody Valentine will finally be released uncut. I, myself have been hoping for this day ever since I realized the movie was cut to pieces in about 1990. Most people believed that it would never happen and surely would never happen under Paramount Pictures' hands. So, when the movie was cataloged out to Lionsgate Films for release to coincide with the remake, new hope arose and well... it is finally going to be released uncut. THANK GOD!
