How 'Bout Some Valentine's Day Lar?

Since it's Valentine's Day, I figured that I would share this photo of Lar Park Lincoln. I do believe that she was one of the better looking females of the post-1985 films and has always been charming and nice to her fans. The Friday the 13th scene has really changed a lot since 2000 or so when I began to seek out autographs from the actors of the franchise. Now it seems that every person willing to be found has been found and most will sign for a fee.

Getting Lar's signature and letter in 2003 was a very happy day for me!

Old Heidi Kozak Box Girls Article

Anyone remember when Heidi Kozak - Haddad made Shabbat boxes? I remember looking for her in the early 2000s and coming across this article. It's a true classic of the franchise autograph collecting. Heidi has always been very receptive to her fans.

So together with actress Heidi Haddad, she created the Shabbat Box of Questions, whose Star of David-shaped question cards do inspire fun, even soul-searching moments. [...]

This is his casting of the screen-used Part VII hero mask in resin from Josh Ludemann. I think these would be bad-ass to be used in making Part VII replicas. However, if not, this is an amazing reference for making your own Part VII.

Friday the 13th: Part VII Shooting Location

GeneralLeeFanatic from the FrightStuff.com forum recently made a trip to Stockton, Alabama to visit the shooting location of Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood. Obviously all that's left is the lake, some remnants of a dock and a firetruck (appears to be the one used in the movie) rusting into the ground. The two homes used in the movie were only shells without any interiors. All of the exteriors were shot in Alabama and the interiors in various places in California.

Savini and Buechler Spottings

So, living close to Los Angeles I get to see some of the legendary Friday the 13th filming locations on Topanga Canyon Blvd, Green Valley, Newhall and Saugus. But I also see some people from the films from time to time. Here are a couple interesting sightings I had recently. I saw John Carl Buechler (SFX; Friday the 13th: Part VII) in Starbucks in North Hollywood and Tom Savini (SFX; Friday the 13th: Part IV) at LAX when I was arriving in LA.

Back when I collected autographs from the cast I was in search of Jennifer Banko and never had any luck. I found about 4 or 5 Jennifer Bankos and all were not the correct one. I loved her in Texas Chainsaw Massacre III more than anything. This is a good find, though it was for sale on eBay for $30.

Here is William Butler from Friday The 13th Part VII: The New Blood. William got the small part of Michael as a favor from friend and (then) employer, and director of the movie John Carl Buechler. William has had the misfortune of being killed by Leatherface, Freddy Krueger, The Ghoulies, zombies in Night Of The Living Dead and Jason Voorhees.

William did special make-up effects for John Carl Buechler before becoming a genre actor and now a writer and director. Some of his notable achievements was writing Return Of The Living Dead IV and V as well as directing horror movies such as Madhouse and Furnace.

Have you heard those rumors that "Lar has cancer?"

Well yes they are true.Early October I got the dreaded Breast cancer call-not really a call more like a moan..... Darn it.. I have such great boobs!! I'm the only actress in the world left with real boobs,what a terrific claim to fame!! I have a rare form called Lobular- a version that is about 1 in 10 and doesn't show up on mammograms! Go figure! At least they have named it after me ,lobuLAR-lol
And it's not a gene type that my daughter can get - so blessings there.
