Any A New Beginning fan will love this.

Indie rock band Wolfie's Just Fine made this music video with a true homage and remake of Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning. It also looks like the scenes were shot in the same place as the movie.

A New Beginning Community Screening

Just a reminder since it's officially less than a week away; Friday the 13th Franchise website will be hosting a community screening of the late Danny Steinmann's Friday the 13th Part V: A New Beginning in memory of his passing last month.

Looks like the rumors of Danny Steinmann's passing are true. I wanted to wait until I mentioned it, but it seems that the sad news is true. His installment in the Friday the 13th franchise seems to be one of the most hated, yet I will always think it is easily one of the best.

I love hearing from some of the more obscure faces of the franchise, and here's a great interview with Steinmann. It's from Stone Cold Crazy blog:

They passed on Savage Streets, but said I should call them as soon as I was done working on the film. They told me to come up to Boston and meet with them. There they offered me a two-picture deal: Friday V and Last House on the Left Part II. I accepted their offer and was instructed to do two things on Friday V. I was to deliver a shock, scare, or kill every seven or eight minutes. Most importantly, I was to turn Tommy into Jason.
