Here are some great shots of Jason from Friday the 13th: Part II that I found in some old Fangoria scans. Some of the shots are well known, in fact they all are being in Fangoria. However, you have got to love these old behind the scenes shots of Steve Dash and Warrington Gillette.

The one I love especially is the one of Jason (Warrington Gillette) crashing through the window at Ginny (Amy Steel). It is a great angle of it and it also proves that Gillette used a pendulum (something he denied) to do this scene. He is clearly on an upward trajectory (hence why his hands are getting farther away from Ginny. Maybe it is not a big deal, but if you were on the old Guts and Gory boards in 2004-6, you'd know why I posted this.

Fangoria #36 & Mrs. Jarvis Spoiler

Looking back at issue #36 of Fangoria I notice on the body count list #12 is Mom: drowned in bathtub. We all know that the scene where Trish finds her mother dead in the bathtub-- which did make it to the box set in the alternate ending-- never made it to the final cut of the film as per director Joe Zito's request.

In Fangoria #22 Douglas J. White talks about creating the face of Jason and what inspired the look.

"The other task was the creation of killer Jason's makeup, a task what was created within some time limitations. We'd already been working on the show for almost 10 weeks when they came up to me to do the (new) makeup for Jason (Jason's makeup was previously done by Stan Winston).

Fangoria #44: More "A New Beginning" love.

So, since my other Fangoria post featuring "A New Beginning" got so many clicks, here is another issue featuring the gore from the movie. One of the most memorable things of my youth was cracking open these Fangorias and seeing my favorite horror movies' behind the scene and gore pictures way before I was even able to watch the movie. What a tease it was!
