Some BTS Amy Steel Photos!

I came across these on Amy Steel's Facebook page, and even though I have seen a couple before, I am sure they have been circulated around on other Friday the 13th-related blogs and such. I still think they are awesome and want to share these awesome shots!

Amy Steel in The Women of San Quentin (1983)

Who says women don't look good in uniform? This is from the 1983 TV movie The Women of San Quentin, with Amy as Liz Larson. Her role wasn't very large, but it was nice seeing her on TV!

What sucks is that her agent at the time thought roles like this were better for her career than appearing in Friday the 13th: Part III, as what was initially wanted by producers of the franchise.

Survive Poster for Unite Against Domestic Violence

This is sort of old news, but I really dig this poster depicting the final girls of Friday the 13th: Part I, II, III and IV. It's available from Fright Rags for $89.99. Those hardcore Friday the 13th collectors out there will love this-- and it's a good cause. All posters (limited to 175, 16 left in stock) are signed by all four final girls and 60% of proceeds go to charity.

Amy Steel on Dr. Phil

Again, thanks to Brandon Middleton for this heads up. he sends me way more cool shit than I know what to do with.

Amy Pulitzer-Steel is a guest therapist in this episode helping a kid named Jakob. Apparently Amy is an Equine (horse) Specialist.

Friday the 13th: Part II Production Photos

Here are some seen, some not seen production photos from Friday the 13th: Part II. I've gathered them mostly from Fangoria, some from TGIF13.com, some from my personal collection, and so on.

Amy Steel in San Quentin (1984)

I am a huge fan of the whole 'women in prison' exploitation sub-genre of the 70s and even the 80s. This one isn't necessarily one of those flicks, or even close. But we do get to see Amy Steel in  prison, in a guard's uniform, with a shotgun (and rifle). So, yeah, it's well worth it. Women of San Quentin (1984) isn't that great, but I always love watching any film with our beloved Friday the 13th alum.

The Powers of Matthew Star

Any Steel and Peter Barton in The Powers of Matthew Star
In an odd twist of Friday the 13th fate, Amy Steel (Friday the 13th: Part II) teamed up with Peter Barton (Friday the 13th: Part IV) in a short-lived TV show called The Powers of Mathew Star that ran from 1982 - 1983. Amy Steel starred in 14 of the 22 episodes that the show ran as Pam Elliott.

Two for Part II

You thought the Part II poster from Turkey was great; there's a better one from Thailand. This one even has Jeff and Sandra getting busy... I am assuming that's who it is. Maybe it is Mark and Vicky!

My Top 5 Final Girls in Friday the 13th

Kimberly Beck (left) as Trish Jarvis
#5 Kimberly Beck (Trish Jarvis, Part IV): I think that Kim was one of the strongest heroines of the franchise, and most definitely the most positive female being a big sister and a mother-like figure. Apparently Kimberly was in her 30's when she portrayed Trish Jarvis and is now in her 50's and still looks good.

Behind The Scenes photo of the week.

This is from Friday The 13th Part II, John Furey (Paul) and Amy Steel (Ginny) getting close on the set in Kent, CT.
