Saturday, February 6, 2010
He was so grotesque.
Crash is an excellent artist and can't wait to get my hands on one of these busts!

Crash discusses his part in the DVD extras:
Head on over to Crash Army to read about what Crash did for the upcoming DVD releases. Trust me, he has some really good news on things that he designed for a few extras. I'm very proud to say that Crash has made a handful of hockey masks for me and is one of the more creative makers out there. I think Daniel Farrands made a good choice with using him for the art/creative team for the discs.
We spent nearly four months working on the production of the supplemental material that is spread out over the Final Chapter, A New Beginning and Jason Lives deluxe editions. The majority of my involvement is within a 3-part feature called Crystal Lake Massacres Revisited where I designed everything from newspaper clippings to x-rays and more.

New score: Night Owl Productions Maggothead II.
I finally got this mask, I have to say the workmanship on it is amazing. Justin really went all out on his last batch of Maggothead II's before he discontinued them. I have a few more masks on order from him and can't wait to get them!

Crash's most recent Part III.
Check out the rest of the pics here; I think these were made from JDF's clear PTEG blanks. As always, probably the most screen accurate that I have seen ever.
If you want a clear PTEG blank, hit JDF up; his turn-around time is much faster than other people providing the clear blanks and is so worth it!
(edit:
These were not made by JDF's clear blanks, but he still does up some nice ones!)

Richard Brooker's "convention" mask: Real or Replica?
So, this topic seems to fire up a very hot debate, but I personally want to know something as a fan. Richard Brooker has been telling people that this mask is the mask used in Friday The 13th Part 3 and it's clearly not. The only surviving mask in Part 3 had the axe mark cut into the forehead and survived Part IV and made an appearance in Part V.
