Oh My Ghana!

Even though the art on these photos is laughable at best, I have to really give respect to the foreign market for attempting to change it up and actually try and do something creative.

Back when I collected autographs from the cast I was in search of Jennifer Banko and never had any luck. I found about 4 or 5 Jennifer Bankos and all were not the correct one. I loved her in Texas Chainsaw Massacre III more than anything. This is a good find, though it was for sale on eBay for $30.

Texas Chainsaw Massacre 1974 & Daniel Pearl.

I was just watching this, and realized that Daniel Pearl is a freaking amazing Director of Photography. Just the way he shoots and uses the natural colors of the shot instead of gels, uses the background sky, lighting and everything else- works. It's sad than when he shot the remake he used all kinds of chromatic-looking lenses.

Kane Hodder as Leatherface.

Here I go plugging Leatherface: The Texas Chainsaw Massacre III again- it's a movie I have always loved since I first saw it, which was as soon as it came to VHS in about 1991 or so. I think it's such an underrated movie and fuck what critics say- it's greatly entertaining, violent, nasty and gory.

Tom Morga: the iron man of slasher icons!

Tom Morga as Jason with Dick Warlock on set
So,this post the other day made me think about Tom Morga and how he has pretty much been the Jack-of-all-trades of slashers. A lot of slasher fans may not know this, but Tom has donned the hockey mask as Jason (and Roy), the dead-skin mask as Leatherface and the white mask as Michael Myers putting him into an elite group of people to have done that-- just one (him). Kane Hodder has come close; he portrayed Jason himself and did a good amount of Leatherface in Texas Chainsaw Massacre III.

Fan film review: Leatherface vs. Jason

Part 2 Part 3

I personally felt like this was one of the more creative versus fan films that I have seen. Pretty much right behind Notarile's Friday The 31st, Leatherface vs. Jason picks up right after Friday The 13th (1980) after a deranged Sawyer family member (Warden Sawyer) finds Jason in the woods of Crystal Lake- he brings him home gives him his infamous sack mask and pick axe and introduces him to Leatherface and history is made. Once Jason meets Leatherface, Leatherface gets a little jealous and annoyed and attacks Jason. There's a lot more to the film that I don't want to give away, it jumps from 1979 to modern day after about 10-15 minutes with modern versions of Jason.
