Fan Film Review: Friday the 13th: Extraction
Friday the 13th: Extraction is a neat little fan film released in (what I can tell) 2012 directed by Samuel Farmer of Chance In Hell Productions . The plot centers around a private military defense company who sends a party to Crystal Lake to capture Jason Voorhees in what they believe is to finally put a stop to the killing.

I Have Warned Thee...
Clem David Wiechman (David Wiley), who's known to Friday the 13th fans as the resident prophet of doom Abel in Friday the 13th: Part III had a long career in show business, but is more known as a recording engineer to many stars including Elvis Presley. Here's something I found about him on www.Elvis-collectors.com.

A Shot of the New Owner of the Jason "Hero" Hockey Mask
Dick Warlock with Dario Latinovic; from yourprops.com |
So, by now it's very old news that Dick Warlock sold his beloved hockey mask. And for those Friday the 13th nerds out there-- like me-- who salivated over this mask combo for years, here's a nice shot of Dick passing the reigns over to the new (and obviously proud) owner Dario Latinovic. This is the screen-used hockey mask worn by Jason in Friday the 13th: Part III (at the end), IV and V and used as a template for the masks used in the later films. It's definitely an important one-of-a-kind piece of Friday the 13th memorabilia.

Martin Cummins... You're An Asshole
Martin Cummins (Friday the 13th: Part VIII) gets into an anti-abortion debate with Karen Cambpell on a Canadian TV show Pilot 1. The crowd seems to side with Karen, who is pro-choice.
I do think Martin makes some valid points, though.

Warlock Clone Perfection
Since I have more time I have gotten back into blogging and reading blogs. This one came from my visit to the JasonLivesSince1980.Blogspot.com site and I think it's easily in the top 3 replicas I have seen. Obviously there's a few marks that are a little off, but overall it's about 98% exact-- and he may still be accepting commissions on these!
Go check it out.
Jerry Pavlon Now
Here are a couple recent photos of Jerry Pavlon (Friday the 13th: Part V) from his Linked-In page. He's now dealing with education with bi-polar and mood-fragile kids and has an organization in New York. Sounds a lot like where he did time in Friday The 13th: Part V!
Friday the 13th Legend: Part III Alternate Ending
from: Crystal Lake Memories |
The alternate ending to Friday the 13th: Part III seems to be one of the more talked about lost scenes in the franchise. Here are excerpts from the Friday the 13th: Part III novel by Michael Avalone, a book written before the movie was finished based on the original shooting script. They are from Pages 186 - 200, taking up after the scene where Chris puts an axe into Jason's head.

White Hockey Mask included. SPFX Jason Voorhees Part 4 Silicone Mask. This mask is one of rarest silicone mask ever made. Just like any SPFX mask, this one is ultra realistic, and it is very hard to find any type of a Jason silicone mask as there are not many made. You do not want to miss your chance to own this extremely rare mask!I am also selling a extremely rare SPFX Freddy Silicone Mask, so check that out if you'd like!

Ted White Autograph from 1960!
Obviously getting Ted White's (Friday the 13th: Part IV) signature now is quite easy. But when I first started collecting it took me about 4 years of leads to even find his address to write to him and ask for one. Then it took me 3 or 4 tries to have him respond and when he did in 2003 I was ecstatic Ted had not yet stepped into the spotlight that he well deserved and was still considered an actor who was distancing himself.

Juliette Cummins' Message to Psycho Fans!
At nearly 50 years old, Juliette is still beautiful. She's a very kind woman whose a proud owner of a pet wolf! How cool is that? Apparently she still lives in the California area, teaches Spanish at Reedley High School and makes convention appearances from time to time.
Life and Death on the A-List available on DVD
from: corcoranproductions.com |
Director and producer Jay Corcoran has made this chilling documentary available on DVD for the first time for $29.99. I have a bad VHS rip to DVDr paying around somewhere and I was told that this has a lot better transfer (nor sure if from 35mm or what) than the rare VHS copies that were being sold for $50+.

Steve Susskind in Friday the 13th: Part III |
Before Steve Susskind (Friday the 13th: Part III) was the easy-to-love nitwit Harold, he was a pop star in the du-wop trio called the Roommates who had hit records with "Please Love Me Forever" (with Cathy Jean) and "The Glory of Love" in 1961.

Roy Figure
from: Evilface.com
Stumbled across this great Roy figure on www.evilface.com. I really love all the love for A New Beginning! He explains why he made ole Roy:
Sideshow Collectible did a incredible run of horror figures, including almost every Friday The 13th Jason and his mother. But for some reason they didn't complete the line excluding Jason from Part 8 and "Roy" from Part 5. Well I decided to make my own Part 5 Roy "Jason" figure.
Walt Gorney Lives
He left this earth at age 91 in 2004, but he still lives in our hearts as Ole Crazy Ralph (Friday the 13th & Friday the 13th: Part II). Here are some photos from his work in other films; King Kong (1975) and Trading Places (1983).

The once elusive Kirsten Baker (Friday the 13th: Part II) at one of her convention appearances. I will definitely admit that she is still pretty good looking.

Who is Warrington Gillette?
Warrington Gillete from: Pound4Pound.com |
Of course most of us Friday The 13th fans know him as an actor who played Jason in the infamous window crash scene in Friday The 13th Part II. Unfortunately for people none the wiser may call him Jason II, and rightfully so- he was indeed credited as Jason Voorhees, right? It's a very common misconception since day one and for the people who frequented the Guts & Gory forum a handful of years back sort of know where I am going with this. Around 2003, at the height of the Friday The 13th website craze a lot of actors from the franchise came out to do interviews, attend conventions and meet fans. Around 2003/2004 Warrington Gillette was asked to do some conventions and he kindly obliged. He attended a lot of conventions and even had his own forum at Guts & Gory as well as his own website www.jason2kills.com.

A semi-recent story about our beloved Tina from A New Beginning, also known as Deborah Voorhees from the VIVAcini August 24th edition called "Getting It Off Her Chest." You can read the entire article here at VIVAcini.com. It mentions her role in Friday The 13th Part V: A New Beginning.
