Peter Barton Bequeathed Estate From A Man He Never Met

Peter Barton in Friday the 13th: Part IV
A man who died last summer willed his estate to two actors he never met, leaving them an estimated half a million dollars each.

Ray Fulk was 71 when he died last July. He lived alone on a 160-acre property in Lincoln, Ill. that he inherited from his father. He had no family or children.

"He was a loner, and a lot of neighbors didn't know who he was," Behle said.[...]
After Fulk died, Brophy and Barton received letters informing them of the bequest. The two are friends who had acted in the film "Hell Night" in 1981. They could not be reached for comment. Barton actually visited Lincoln and Behle to see if the letter was real, Behle said. "His reaction was disbelief," Behle said. "What would yours be?"

Thank you Brandon Middleton for this news.

Yeah you're a good friend and I enjoy e-mailing you these rare photos & stories. Like many I only knew of him from his minor soap work, Friday IV & the mostl lameoid in my eyes Linda Blair slasher entry Hell Night and of course Matthew Star as the story noted. I re-read it on Yahoo! News and I chced the names & pics on it and yeah, I was really interested.

I agree with many of the Yahoo user comments that indeed, it was very quirky, eccentric & kida weird. But hey, it is kinda a positive one. Apparently the guy had money and was an eccentric loner as it noted. It is certainly n oddbal story to add to both actors biography and more recent quiet news, but hey, it was a positive one. I guess in his final years he gave them some type of pleasure and hey, for a goof, he decided to do this.

Was kinda very cool of him, actually. I'd love to get a comment from Mr. Barton or the other gentleman.

    1. Peter was also a huge teen idol pre-F13. I am sure those now 40-somethings were very interested.

  3. Yup, you're correct: Soap work, television movie roles of that whole era plus The Secret Powers of Matthew Star, too. :D
