Rest In Piece, Richard

Something compelled me to look up Richard Brooker today and I noticed that not long ago - April 8 - he passed away. I have to say that it was a sad day for myself, being a huge fan of the Jason Voorhees character that he pretty much invented in Part III.

Brooker was pretty much forced to invent Jason himself, when director Steve Miner told Brooker that Jason had no motivation.

Here's a really old photo of Brooker and his horse.

Hard to believe its already been quite some time indeed as a HUGE fellow Part 3-D mark, my good man. But sadly the image link is broken, Jack my ole' friend. Could you simply post the URL link to it? I'm always interested in seeing images of the late/great Mr. Brooker even if during my brief time on the time-waster that was Facebook he was often times quite Anglo-Sexony 'n quite cold to me, in a sense.

    1. Yes, I made blog posts back when he passed away. I meant - in this post - not long ago was the anniversary.

A big thanks for fixing the link. Originally the other day I thought you meant "Richard Brooker at his house", like with his wife by his side, and I see you typed horse. I smiled at myself. Ah my eyes. May he truly RIP. Him and Ted White were honestly the only Jason's to ever truly 'scare' me during my youth.

    1. Ah, yeah as Jack made mention of, we both know that bro. I was here posting on Jack's fine blog here when he originally passed away. I even found rare things online such as some RIP tributes to the west coast shot shows (such as that reality based kitchen drama one, ect) that he created newer/modern digital cameras for.

Pay attention to him mentioning the anniversary. We're not ignorant to the fact that he passed well over two years ago. Chill bro ;-)
