|How the house looks now.|
Living in Los Angeles I get to see a lot of filming locations for my favorite movies. Realistically, after seeing these locations it actually takes away a lot of the impact the movie had. With movie magic, a lot of these places were shot to seem a lot more secluded than they actually were.
The main sorority house used in Sorority House Massacre is in a gated community in Mid-City Los Angeles called Lafayette Square. This neighborhood is pretty much all giant homes and perfectly green lawns with Mercedes Benz, BMW, and Lexus cars in the driveway. The movie Insidious was shot across the street from this home.

|How that house looks today.|
The main sorority house used in Sorority House Massacre II is in a bit different area. It's located in the historic Adams District on Harvard. This neighborhood has a lot of massive homes, and a lot of them are abandon or in the midst of being renovated. The Adams District is also known for being a not-so-friendly area of Mid-City.
This area is relatively close to the area where Night of the Demons (1988) and NOTD II were shot. This actual house is also right across the street from the shooting location of The People Under the Stairs. I didn't get a photo of it, but the house used in Twice Dead and Terror Tunes is next door to this home and is abandon.
