The Powers of Matthew Star

Any Steel and Peter Barton in The Powers of Matthew Star
In an odd twist of Friday the 13th fate, Amy Steel (Friday the 13th: Part II) teamed up with Peter Barton (Friday the 13th: Part IV) in a short-lived TV show called The Powers of Mathew Star that ran from 1982 - 1983. Amy Steel starred in 14 of the 22 episodes that the show ran as Pam Elliott.

The show is about Matthew Star (Peter Barton) who was a prince from a far-away planet Quadris. He fled to Earth when Quadris was over-taken by a dictator ruler and now hides as a common high school hunk with super powers.

  1. Hello there! I know this is kind of off topic but I was wondering which blog platform are
you using for this website? I'm getting tired of Wordpress because I've
had issues with hackers and I'm looking at alternatives for another platform. I would be fantastic if you could point me in the direction of a good platform.

  2. A great post, once again my good friend. :)

I found out about this years ago from lookin' over the actors profiles on the old official website where you select whatever installment of the franchise that ya wanna find out about, and I saw the profile on him as well as the Secret Powers of Mathew Stars screen caps.

Over two years ago I watched some episodes on YouTube. They were cute, dated television on its time before the digital crummy "modern" age, which is pretty much the type of North American television that I personally prefer. Also form Amy Steel's Facebook she has a fuck ton of older print ads and rare television appernces that she's been in plus lobbey card looking things that are well wroth checing out, by the way. :) Hope that I helped!

Great post once again, as per always.

  4. To Dusk:

Yeah it is kinda weird. I don't really understnad how the Spam keeps getting approved, either, but such is life ya know? I do agree that it is a bit quirky & oddball.

And yes Amy has always been a nice little blonde. She's aged VERY nicely if I may be so bold & she is a damn fine character actress as well, too. Check her out on Facebook and look over here photos. She is a great person. :)

  7. The spammers get through on my site all the time so I know what it's like. I'm sure our fearless leader will take care of it when he can.

Excuse me while I marvel at Peter Barton's bigass hair...

    1. I have it where I have to approve all comments now. Before it was only for posts a week old... sometimes I accidentally approve spam.
