I am a huge fan of the 80s unsuspecting person (doctor, attorney) turned detective TV shows like Quincy, Matlock and Trapper John, M.D.. This was not one of the best episodes of Trapper John, but it did guest star the late Richard Brooker (Jason, Part III) as Vic in Season 5 episode 'The Fred Connection.' Vic was not a main character and really only had a few scenes and a handful of lines. He was part of a football team whose van crashed.

RIP Richard Brooker
Yesterday when I saw the news, I couldn't rightfully write anything about it. I figured that I would give him a day of silence out of respect. Growing up and watching Friday the 13th: Part III on a rented VCR while living on a pig farm in rural South Carolina is among my fondest childhood memories. We had to have watched this film 6 times over the course of the weekend. One viewing I decided to watch the credits and I saw Richard Brooker as Jason in the credits. That name stuck with me because Jason literally scared the hell out of my 9 year old ass. It also made me deathly afraid of the old barn out back!
I remember being in middle school and my friend brought in some issues of Fangoria. One of them had a write-up about the Jasons and had a photo of Richard Brooker and I finally put a face to this name and read the entire article.
When the internet was in gear, I learned the Brooker had a website and could easily be contacted. So, I chose to buy an autographed photo of him and to this day it was a very special item in my collections. Later on in life I had the chance to attend a small convention that Brooker attended and got to meet the man. That meeting wasn't amazing since my time with him was merely seconds and he seemed rushed. But it did make me relive my childhood memories of Friday the 13th: Part III.
Death is always a sad thing, but we all do die and so do horror icons. My condolences to his family and those who were closest to him. Everyone knows what a huge fan I am of Part III and Brooker and needless to say, this news really hit me hard.
His commentary for Friday the 13th: Part III (on the old Manhattan to Crystal Lake box set) is great, so in his honor, please give it a listen.

Kimberly Beck Guest Stars in Fantasy Island (1978)
Kimberly has a pretty known name in the 60s and 70s, enough at least to get her name and face billed on a TV Guide advert for a Fantasy Island Season 2 Sunday Special that aired in 1979 called Cornelius and Alphonse. The episode aired May 6, 1979.

Darcy Demoss the Dancer

Darcy shows her moves. I can't say that she is my favorite, or close to favorite, Friday girl. But I am very fond of her work as an actress in general. Back in the 90s I would always confuse her with Jewel Shepard.
Apparently she is a great dancer and even though this photo states that it is from 1998, I suspect it is much older than that. Anyone with info on this leave a comment.

Part V and Part VI Posters Share Same Art
Remember my post about how the Turkish poster for Friday the 13th: Part V was just a facsimile of the art on the movie The Wind? Here's some more Part V plagiarism for ya! On the left is one straight from Italy, starring Susan Ross...err... SHAVAR Ross it is Il Terrore Continua, translated into The Terror Continues. Jason è tornato e non vi farà dormire per lungo tempo, well the tagline translated to English is 'Jason is back and will not let you sleep for a long time.' Sure beats 'If Jason still haunts you, you're not alone!'

Friday the 13th: Part II Production Photos
Here are some seen, some not seen production photos from Friday the 13th: Part II. I've gathered them mostly from Fangoria, some from TGIF13.com, some from my personal collection, and so on.

Jason Lives Behind the Scenes
Since I am on a Jason Lives kick on here (two straight posts, baby!), I thought some of these were really cool. They are from TGIF13 and I believe are from the collection of Crash Cunningham. I'm not a huge fan of this movie, but for what it is it is very fun. It's always fun and nostalgic to see behind the scenes photos of the movies since us fans were never, and will never be blessed with true "making of" featurettes of these films. Enjoy.

Jason Lives TV Trailer
Okay, I must admit that I love these things and love seeing the different adverts for the movies on different networks. Here's one from 1989 on "Action Theater" that is actually very entertaining. If anyone has these nifty TV adverts please upload and share them!
