Production Photos of Jeannine Taylor's Death
![]() |
This one is pretty creepy |
Here is a small collection of some photos that I have of Marcie's (Jeannine Taylor) in Friday the 13th (1980). I haven't a clue where I obtained most of them, but I did get some from Fangoria and Famous Monster magazines. In some of them you will notice that there is blood on the backdrop curtain and some there isn't. I'm not sure why; if it was because of multiple takes (and the least bloody one made it to the final American cut) or if it was blood added after the initial impact in the first take, but not shown onscreen.
At any rate, this death is easily the best of the series and the one that always stuck in my mind as a kid. It was very well executed by Savini and co.

Jason X Italian Movie Poster
Since I am not a fan of Jason X, I rarely post anything on the movie. But I do have to admit that this poster is pretty good. It's the Jason X onesheet (if they call them onesheets in Italy) with some pretty nice art. The tagline makes no sense, though: "We all die too violent death."

Carl Fullerton vs. Douglas J. White: The Jasons

Jason II and Jason III comparison |
One of the biggest complaints of the Friday The 13th franchise is continuity- mostly how Jason changed from movie to movie. The easiest way to explain this is the fact that different special make-up effects artists had different ideas on how Jason should look. Double that up with the fact that the directors also had an idea how Jason should look and you have a recipe for change.

Latex FX Revisited
![]() |
made by: Latex FX |
Back in 2005 - 2007 Latex FX kicked out some awesome busts and these two now legendary and classic busts (Lloyd and Chopping Block, respectively) were easily some of the best in the era especially since not a lot of Part IIIs were being made-- at least not very good ones (aside from 2 or 3).

Portuguese VHS Covers

from: http://forum.cinemaemcena.com.br |
Here's a collection of VHS clamshells from sinemamkena, from what I presume to be Brazil since the language is Portuguese. One of the things I did dig about the Paramount releases is that they took the liberty of teasing the hell out of us fans by including scenes cut from the movies on the back of the tapes.

Amy Steel in San Quentin (1984)
I am a huge fan of the whole 'women in prison' exploitation sub-genre of the 70s and even the 80s. This one isn't necessarily one of those flicks, or even close. But we do get to see Amy Steel in prison, in a guard's uniform, with a shotgun (and rifle). So, yeah, it's well worth it. Women of San Quentin (1984) isn't that great, but I always love watching any film with our beloved Friday the 13th alum.

A Candid Photo of Lauren-Marie Taylor From 1988
Even in 1988, Lauren-Marie Taylor (Part II) looked the same as she did when she starred in Friday the 13th: Part II in 1981!

Part III's Cheri Maugans in Archie Bunker's Place
One of Maugan's few roles was a recurring character of a cocktail waitress named Molly in the All in the Family spinoff Archie Bunker's Place in 1980 - 1981. Her roles were mainly as a background "extra" with no speaking roles.

Vintage-Style Custom Figures
Popsfartberger on eBay is doing wonderful things with old GI Joe figures, some cardboard, a printer and some blister packs. Here are just some of his inventory or horror and action movie icons for sale on eBay. One of my biggest complaints is that in the 80s and 90s there was absolutely no cool Friday the 13th merchandise. However, Freddy merchandise was everywhere and it made me jealous. These have that great vintage feel to them and would be great for any collection.
