Stan Winston's Jason III

To Friday the 13th fans the fact that Stan Winston worked on Friday the 13th II and III is no shock. We are also familiar with the fact that Winston created the face of Jason III that was used throughout most of the movie. In fact Jason's face was only changed at the end of production to a face that more resembled the face of Jason II by Alan Appone and Douglas White.

Part II Location

The stairwell

Here are some photos of the Part II shooting location in Kent, Connecticut. This location was demolished a handful of years back and from what I was told, new homes were built in its place. So the "now" text should be "2008." More of these photos from Tony Urban  are on the F13thFranchise site.

Steve Susskind the Crooner

A very young Steve Susskind (Friday the 13th: Part III) in what looks like a high school yearbook photo. I am uncertain of the date, but Steve used to sing lead in a group called The Roommates. I find it quite amusing of the part he played as Harold Hockett in Friday the 13th: Part III of an obvious overweight slob and in reality, Steve was a very attractive dude.

Fangoria #36 & Mrs. Jarvis Spoiler

Looking back at issue #36 of Fangoria I notice on the body count list #12 is Mom: drowned in bathtub. We all know that the scene where Trish finds her mother dead in the bathtub-- which did make it to the box set in the alternate ending-- never made it to the final cut of the film as per director Joe Zito's request.

Oh No, Kirsten!

I am not one to "out", but since these are over a decade old (from 02-03) I thought I would share. I personally love mugshots and think they make girls look sexy. Obviously, these are from a low point in one's life and it seems that Kirsten Baker had a problem "knowing when to say when" from 02 to 03 and was arrested multiple times for driving under the influence. It seems now she has gotten her shit back in order and doesn't do stuff like this anymore- at least I hope not. I still think these photos are pretty adorable.

Thai Part III Poster

I found this among my files and am not sure where I acquired this. It's artwork that I have never seen before, which is always exciting. Of course the poster also has Chris in it, which is another huge plus!

Ron Sloan (Friday the 13th: Part V) in the episode A Serpent's Tooth of the Tales from the Darkside TV show. This aired in November of 1986.
