Friday The 13th Part III in 3-D to air on UK TV!

I saw this posted on the F13-Community and thought it was pretty rad that they are actually going to air this in 3-D! You will of course need the anaglyphic 3-D glasses (the red and blue ones) to see this in 3-D. It will be airing at 10pm Friday November 20th on UK TV station Channel 4, for more information on this here's Channel 4's site. So, all of you UK'ers who do not have the Friday The 13th Part III: in 3-D DVD or Bluray yet, here's a chance to see it for free!

Screaming Like Banshees! Night Of The Creeps Bluray
I finally received my copy of Night Of The Creeps on Bluray, and man I really gotta say it's more than I ever anticipated. For anyone who grew up in the 1980's and early 1990's you probably agree with me that this movie is a staple of cable TV and a total 1980's creation. I remember watching this on VHS-- and many years later after DVD had already been a handful of years in production-- and hoping to get it on DVD and never being able to find it. Years later, the same-- never a DVD except a Laserdisc transfer on DVDr and really that never pleased me.

So, Ain't It Cool reviewed ANOES...
The review seems to be a bit on the fence and leaning more to the "it's alright for a remake" side of things. I will still maintain the same stance as I have taken from day one and that's the fact that I will go and see this and will keep an open mind. I am a huge fan of ANOES 1-3 and feel that those films are masterpieces compared to the rest of the Nightmare films which quickly plummet into Turdville with each sequel.

Myth Busters to test a Jason X myth!

Anyone remember that turd of a movie called Jason X? No? Well, unfortunately my wallet and I remember it quite well. Sadly, my subconscious had to intake this movie because I was practically asleep during it. At any rate, Wednesday November 4th at 9 PM the MythBusters will tackle the death of Adrienne (No, not Adrienne King!) in the 2002 Opus of Shit Jason X.
ESPN: How A Hockey Mask Became So Scary

Jaques Plante donning his mask |
The most recognizable piece of sports equipment was never used in an actual game. Unless you consider mass murder a sport.
The first time I noticed it was as I walked through the local video store, a preteen-ager not yet worried about catching glimpses through the doors of the adults-only section. Then, I was more focused on the forbidden allure of the horror aisle, fascinated by the terrible images on the back of the VHS boxes: buxom girls in tattered clothes screaming, chain saws glistening, bloody machetes about to strike. These weren't production stills, they were portals to hell. And every so often, you could catch sight of the demon causing all the wreckage: a bulking man in a hockey mask.
